Title: Spiced Apricots, Crab Apples, or Carrots

Yield: 1 Batch

2 C boiling water 2inch cinnamon 1 C sugar Few grains salt 24 whole cloves *(they counted them?) 6 allspice berries Apricots, crab apples, cranberries or tiny new carrots

Combie sugar, water, and seasonings. Cook for 10 min. Add fruit, simmer gently until tender, skim out carfully, and pour over a little of juice. If to be stored overnite, cover with juice.
